Police investigate robbery at child placement agency

Police are investigating the robbery of a woman at the Holy Cross Child Placement Agency at an office located at 910 Pierremont.

A white female and black female both entered the office, punched the woman and made her write a $10,000 check. They then handcuffed the female employee to a filing cabinet and took her car and cell phone.

Police are looking for a white 1994 Chrysler Concorde with the license plate VKR-684. The white female has been identified as April Wright. Wright and the victim reportedly knew each other from an adoption that was handled previously.

The incident occurred at 10:30 a.m., and the check was subsequently cashed as a local check cashing company on Kings Highway.
