Additional charges filed against repeat robber

A man arrested last week for armed robberies at Radio Shack, Payless Shoes and Home Choice has been charged with two additional counts of armed robbery, bringing the total to 15.

Calvin Michael Grant, 47, of Shreveport is charged with the Dec. 19 armed robbery of John’s Cig’s at 6205 Westport Ave and the Dec. 21 armed robbery of Sally’s Beauty Supply at 3000 N. Market St. Grant also faces 13 other counts of armed robbery in Shreveport and 4 counts of armed robbery in Bossier City.

Grant’s wife, 51-year-old Gloria Grant, is charged with accessory after the fact of armed robbery, forgery and theft by fraud. Grant is accused of using a false identification to pawn items that were taken in the armed robberies.

Calvin Grant has numerous aliases that include Michael Jackson, Jason Conner, Carl Michael Grant, Michael Calvin Grant, Michael Howard, Steven Michael Howard and Michael James Noble.

Grant is wanted in Arizona on three counts of armed robbery and failure to appear in court, and has a history of arrests in California, Texas and Arizona. Those arrests include charges of forgery, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, shoplifting, sale of heroin and grand theft auto.
