Police arrest 3 in connection with Probation and Parol burglary

Police arrested three people who are believed to be connected to the Jan. 7 burglary of the Probation and Parole office at 2525 Youree Drive.

Detectives also have recovered two laptop computers, a TV and a VCR that belonged to Probation and Patrol. Police also are working to recover other items, including some weapons that were taken.

Those arrested are Will Ester, 41, of Shreveport, who is charged with burglary and Rodney Ross, 25, of Shreveport, who is charged with accessory to burglary. A third suspect, 21-year-old Gabriel Davenport of Shreveport has been linked to the burglary but is charged with possession of Schedule II narcotics with intent to distribute after a search of his vehicle uncovered drugs.

"We worked very closely with the probation and patrol office, which helped speed up the conclusion of this case," said Property Crimes Detective Greg Jones. "We were just glad to recover some of the stolen items."
