Bounty set for violent offenders

The Shreveport Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of a suspect involved in recent unsolved armed robberies and/or purse snatchings in the city of Shreveport.

The reward is in addition to any other reward to which a citizen may be entitled, including Crime Stoppers. It will be covered by existing departmental funds.

"The Shreveport Police Department will not tolerate anyone committing violent crimes against any citizen in Shreveport," said Police Chief Jim Roberts. "We will aggressively pursue any and all leads to bring those responsible for such crimes to justice."

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000 or 218-4000.
