Police arrest armed robbery suspect

Detectives Tom Oster and Tony Rei have arrested a 17-year-old student for the armed robbery of K.C.'s Beauty Shop on Dec. 5.

Torey "Hot Dog" Ferguson was arrested at Fair Park High School earlier today. Ferguson lives near the shop.

Ferguson is believed to be one of three males who entered the store at 3324 Midway. One of the suspects was armed, and all three had their faces covered with ski masks.

The robbers took three victims' purses and fled from the store on foot.

Detectives are continuing their investigation, and more arrests are possible in this case. They also are looking into whether Ferguson was involved in other robberies.
