A third suspect, 37-year-old Brent Domone Smith Sr. of Shreveport, was apprehended after the robbery victim shot Smith once in the side. The incident occurred about 7 a.m. when Johnny Lee Young allowed Smith and the two other suspects into his home. Once inside, the suspects tied up Young and robbed him of money. As they left the house, Young managed to free himself, grab a gun and shoot at the suspects. Smith was found shot and taken to LSU Health Sciences Center. He underwent surgery this morning, but his injury appears to be non-life threatening.
