Second suspect charged in homicide case

    Lisa Morgan, the girlfriend of murder suspect Merritt Tyrone Jones, was arrested Monday evening and charged with accessory after the fact of second-degree murder.

    Jones is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of 42-year-old Nathaniel Lindsey, who died after being shot several times in a park in the 2300 block of Penick Street at 1 a.m. Monday.

    Morgan, 33, was shot a couple of times in the incident and taken to LSUMC. Police took Morgan into custody upon release from the hospital. Morgan had been Lindsey's girlfriend in the past .
