Merritt Tyrone Jones of the 2300 block of Queens was arrested at 4:30 p.m. and booked into Shreveport City Jail. Jones is accused of killing Lindsey, 42, in a park located in the 3800 block of Penick. Lindsey received several gun shot wounds and died at the scene. Meanwhile, a woman in the park with Lindsey received a gun shot wound to the leg. The woman, identified as Lisa Morgan, left the scene and went to LSU Health Sciences Center for treatment. The shooting is believed to stem from a lover's dispute, as Jones is reported to be Morgan's the new boyfriend.
