Egan Street early Friday. Friends of the deceased went to the home at about 4:45 p.m. Friday when he failed to return to work. Once inside, they saw the man lying on the floor, covered in blood. The victim, a white male in his early 40s, appeared to have died from stab wounds. Police believe he died between midnight and 6 a.m. Friday morning. He reportedly had been at a club Thursday night. Evidence at the crime scene indicated the man and his assailant had some type of argument and struggled during the incident. The victim's family lives out of town and has not been notified, so his identity cannot be released. Police are looking for the victim's missing blue Chevy Blazer. It is a 1999 model and has Louisiana tag IJT902.
