Detectives seek suspect in robbery

Shreveport Police detectives are looking for a local man believed to have robbed several victims at a residence in west Shreveport last month.

At approximately 8:58 p.m. on October 27, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a robbery in the 4100 block of Marston. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect had approached a residence there and robbed several victims in the home at gunpoint. The suspect stole cash from the victims and then fired a shot into the ground before fleeing the scene in a blue vehicle. No one was injured during the robbery

Detectives have now identified the man they believe is responsible for this robbery and have obtained a warrant for his arrest. Investigators are looking for 24 year old Jeffery Thomas of the 4100 block of Marston who has a warrant outstanding for his arrest charging him with one count of armed robbery. The bond is set at $100,000. Other charges may follow upon Thomas’ arrest. Jeffery Thomas is described as a black male, approximately 5’11” tall weighing 175 lbs.
