Officials set to kick off National Night Out

After a rain delay back in October, Shreveport is all set to celebrate National Night Out this evening.

Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover and Chief of Police Henry Whitehorn will officially kick off the festivities at 5:30 p.m. this evening at the Allendale Friendship House in the 1500 block of Clay St. National Night Out is an truly unique opportunity for folks to get out and not only meet their neighbors but to interact with their public safety professionals and elected officials. Shreveport has approximately 90 parties registered for tonight and the event is scheduled to conclude at 9:00 p.m.
