Teenager wounded in shooting

Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left a teenager suffering a gunshot wound.

At approximately 10:42 p.m. last night, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the intersection of Frederick St. and McCutcheon St. relative to a shooting. Upon arrival there, officers discovered a sixteen year old year male suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The juvenile victim was transported to LSUHSC with what has been described as a non life threatening wound.

Detectives have learned that the victim and a group of friends were walking to visit a friend when they were approached by another group of young men. The victim stated this other group began to yell at them and then began shooting at them. The victim could only describe the suspects as several unknown black males.
