Shreveport Police arrest suspect for filing a false police report

Shreveport Police detectives have arrested a local woman for criminal mischief after she allegedly filed a false police report.

Back on October 8, 2009, Olivia Green reported to Shreveport Police that she had been abducted and sexually assaulted. Green originally told officers that she had been kidnapped from a convenience store on W. 70^th St. on October 5, 2009 by two black male suspects who then held her captive for four days. The victim advised she had been sexually assaulted during this time.

As detectives began their investigation, they discovered that Green was lying and had not been kidnapped or sexually assaulted. Detectives subsequently arrested 22 year old Olivia Green of the 10800 block of Barron Rd. in Keithville and booked her into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of criminal mischief, which by definition is the “giving of any false report or complaint to a sheriff, or his deputies, or to any officer of the law relative to the commission of, or an attempt to commit, a crime.”
