Police looking for shooting suspect

Shreveport Police are looking for an individual who shot and wounded a man last night.

The shooting happened at the Stop n Shop in the 4900 block of Jewella last night just before 10:00 PM.

The Victim, Anthony Newson 31 years old, went into the Stop and Shop, when another car pulled into the parking lot and parked next to Newson's. When Newson returned to his car the passenger of the suspect’s car got out, said something to Newson and fired multiply rounds at Newson striking him one time in the abdomen.

Newson was transported to LSU-HSC where he is listed in serious condition.

Police are looking for a Black Male in his early 20's last seen leaving the Stop and Shop in a 1990's model grey Crown Victoria.
