Trio of marijuana plants seized by agents

Members of the Caddo/Shreveport Narcotics Unit were contacted by a Shreveport Police Community Liaison Officer regarding information he received from a confidential source in reference to marijuana being grown in the backyard of the residence in 9700 block of Charleston Drive located in the Colquitt Estates.

Agents with the Narcotics Unit began an investigation and ultimately seized three marijuana plants from the backyard of the residence there on Charleston. The suspect, identified as 21 year old Cory Ray Yates of the 9700 block of Charleston, admitted to growing the three marijuana plants.

Yates was charged with cultivation of marijuana and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
