Man Arrested on Warrants

A man was arrested this afternoon by the Shreveport Police after it was discovered he had three outstanding warrants.

Shreveport Police responded to a possible burglary in progress in the 2900 of Queens after the homeowner called regarding two or three possible subjects on her porch trying to break into the residence. Upon arrival the suspects fled but were quickly caught by police in the 2900 block of DeSoto. Both suspects 1 adult and 1 juvenile were interviewed and it was determined, Joshua Byrd, b/m, DOB 2-28-1988, had outstanding warrants for multiple offenses. After the initial investigation, there was no cause to arrest them for burglary and the juvenile was returned home and Byrd arrested.

Byrd was booked into the City Jail on warrants for Possession of Schedule I Narcotics, No Drivers license and Reckless Operation of a Vehicle.
