Shreveport Police seeking robbery suspect

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a suspect who attempted to rob a west Shreveport hotel back in August.

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on the morning of August 19, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported attempted armed robbery at the Holiday Inn Express in the 5400 block of Interstate. A witness told investigators that a black male suspect wearing a dark colored t-shirt and long shorts with a bandana covering his face entered the hotel and pointed a handgun at the clerk. The suspect then fled the scene without receiving any money.

Detectives are now releasing surveillance video of the attempted robbery and are asking for your help in identifying this suspect. The video will be in the media box at the Patrol Desk.
