Fire investigators need your help in solving arson

The Shreveport Fire Department needs your help in solving an arson that occurred back in late July.

On Sunday, July 26, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers and Shreveport Fire Department investigators responded to the 3300 block of Reilly Ln. relative to a vehicle fire. Upon arrival there, authorities discovered that a marked Shreveport Police unit, a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria, had been set on fire. An unknown suspect or suspects had placed some type of paper material around the gas tank of the police unit and then set the material on fire, causing heavy fire damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle. Investigators believe this crime occurred sometime during the early morning hours of July 26.

Investigators are now asking for your help to identify the suspect or suspects who committed this arson and Shreveport/Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers will pay for information leading to the arrest of these suspects.
