Battle of the Badges to hit Municipal Auditorium

Public safety professionals will be squaring off against each other in the ring to kick off the Labor Day holiday weekend, but it’s all to raise money for those in need.

On Friday, September 4, 2009, the Battle of the Badges returns to Shreveport’s Municipal Auditorium. The Battle of the Badges pits firefighters against police officers in mixed martial arts bouts in an effort to raise money for local causes. The doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and there are eight fights scheduled on the night’s card. Tickets are $10, $15, and $25 each and there are still tables available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.

The money raised by the event will go to fallen and wounded soldiers, as well as police officers and firefighters who need assistance because of illness or injury. Anyone needing any further information can call 318-464-2361.
