Robbery and Shooting at Stop and Shop

Shreveport Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and shooting of a clerk at the Stop 'n Shop Express in the 1400 block of Hollywood.

The incident occurred a little after 3 a.m. when a man walked into the store and demanded money from the clerk. Before the clerk could respond, the suspect shot him. The second clerk then got money and gave it to the suspect. The suspect then fled the store on foot.

The clerk who was shot, Amin Gobah, 26, address unknown, was taken to LSU Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8" to 6' tall, 160-170 pounds. He had a bandana over his face and was wearing a black, long-sleeve sweat shirt with gray hood and white stripes down the sleeves. He also had on dark shorts, black shoes and a black ball cap.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for the identification and arrest of the suspect.
