Elderly woman victim of robbery attempt

Shreveport Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery of a 92-year-old Shreveport woman.

The lady was taking her trash to the curb when a man approached her in the 1500 block of Grigsby around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. He asked her to sign some documents and then forced her inside of her house. He reportedly knocked her down and started shaking her very hard while she was screaming. He then tied her up and went throughout her house. He then left, and the woman escaped from her bondage and went to a neighbor's house to call police.

Nothing was taken.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-40s, six feet tall, stocky or heavy set, wearing a white dress shirt and dark pants.
