Recruit bus to target Pilgrim’s Pride workers

Hundreds of workers at Pilgrim's Pride will have a chance to investigate becoming a Shreveport Police officer, and they won't have to go far to do it.

The Recruit Bus will be at the Brookshire Brother's in Haughton from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 14.

With the Mayor and City Council looking into the hiring of 100 additional officers, now would be a great time for anyone looking at becoming a police officer or a jailer to apply to take the upcoming civil service test.

The deadline to apply for the test is Aug. 29 and the test will be given in Shreveport on Sept. 17. Jailers will take their test on Sept. 18.
