Shreveport Police, Barksdale Credit Union to host seminar

The Shreveport Police Department and Barksdale Federal Credit Union are partnering to host a crime prevention workshop this Saturday as part of an ongoing effort to educate the public and reduce crime.

The fraud prevention workshop will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Barksdale Federal Credit Union's Eastbank Branch located at 1560 E. 70^thSt. in Shreveport. The workshop, which will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will feature officers from the Shreveport Police Department's Community Oriented Policing Bureau giving a presentation regarding fraud, identity theft, cons, scams, and other white collar crimes. Officers will be available to answer questions as well.
