Shreveport Police looking for robbery suspect

Shreveport Police are searching for a local man wanted in connection with at least one armed robbery.

Detectives have an armed robbery warrant outstanding for the arrest of 22 year old Mark Smith of the 700 block of Cotton St. in Shreveport. Investigators believe that on July 29, 2009, Smith and Michael Taylor robbed a man at gunpoint in the 1000 block of Marshal. Michael Taylor was arrested by patrol officer’s yesterday afternoon after a foot pursuit near downtown Shreveport.

Mark Smith is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 170 lbs. and detectives believe he may be responsible for other armed robberies of individuals. Smith should be considered armed and dangerous.
