Shreveport Police post results of New Year’s Eve traffic patrols

The Shreveport Police Department arrested 10 suspects last night as part of a special operation initiated to address public safety and reduce the number of traffic fatalities in our city.

Officers working the special operation arrested 9 suspects for D.W.I. and one suspect for underage D.W.I. last night and into the early morning hours today. A safety checkpoint originally planned for last night had to be canceled because of inclement weather. In addition to the D.W.I. arrests, officers working the special detail last night wrote a total of 38 traffic citations for offenses ranging from going the wrong way on a one way street to driving under suspension.

Those arrested last night are as follows:

43 year old David Warmack of the 8400 block of Kaw in Shreveport- D.W.I.

44 year old Robert Matheny of the 400 block of Pollard in Shreveport- D.W.I.

37 year old Christopher Gregg of the 3800 block of Doris in Shreveport- D.W.I.

31 year old Tamiko Anderson of the 9000 block of Youree in Shreveport- D.W.I.

25 year old Jennifer Powell of Minden, LA- D.W.I.

42 year old Brian Kelly of Louisville, TX- D.W.I.

49 year old Michael Hamilton of the 2300 block of Jamison in Shreveport- D.W.I.

34 year old Kemia Calhoun of the 9000 block of Rosedown in Shreveport- D.W.I.

30 year old David Alvarez of San Antonio, TX- D.W.I.

19 year old Abigail Aldrich of the 200 block of Schaub in Shreveport- Underage D.W.I.
