The Shreveport Mayor’s Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities was
reestablished in 1994 under the guidance of then Mayor Robert "Bo" Williams, who
was also a person with a disability. The primary mission of the Council is to advise the Mayor of Shreveport on
issues concerning citizens with disabilities.
