September 27, 2009 - Motorcycle VS. Vehicle Wreck Injures Two

The cause of the accident is unknown

The Shreveport Fire Department responded to the intersection of Shartel and Baird Road at approximately 3:00 PM this afternoon for a motor vehicle accident between a motorcycle and vehicle in what appeared to be an almost head-on collision. There were two people transported to LSUMC who were traveling on the motorcycle when the accident occurred. One male was transported in stable condition with several injuries that included fractured bones. One female was transported with serious injuries and was unstable on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was treated on scene and was not transported. The cause of the accident is unknown and is under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.
