September 8, 2009 - Mayor Glover and Fire Chief Crawford recognize SFD/SPD personnel for Swift Investigative Actions

Recognition for Thorough Investigative Work

This afternoon, Mayor Cedric B. Glover and Fire Chief Brian A. Crawford will recognize and award police officers and firefighters with the Mayor Glover’s Award of Excellence and the Shreveport Fire Department Commendation Award during the bi-monthly Shreveport City Council Meeting for their thorough investigative work to apprehend serial arsonist, Gary Leonard Vinson. Vinson is accused of intentionally destroying several properties in Shreveport’s Historic District including the Shreveport Regional Arts Council Headquarters.
