August 30, 2010 - The SFD Holds One Graduation Ceremony for Two Graduating Classes
55^th & 54^th Basic Class Graduates

The Shreveport Fire Department has scheduled one graduation ceremony of two separate recruit classes - a first for the Department. One Caddo Fire District 5 firefighter recruit will join the fourteen (14) Shreveport firefighter recruits on stage. Each of the fifteen member graduating class have successfully passed either a five week abbreviated version of Department’s training or the normal 20 week training class consisting of a variety of fire and emergency disciplines, including fire science, advanced fire fighting, search and rescue, emergency medicine, and hazardous materials. The Shreveport fire recruits will be given their station assignments immediately following the ceremony.

Shreveport Fire Department’s 54th Basic Class Graduates: Jeremy Aaron, Michael Cooper, Dustin Haggard, Heath Hayes, Chris McClought, Demarcus Peoples, and Micah Thompson. Caddo Fire District 5 Graduates: Bliss Anders.

Shreveport Fire Department’s 55th Basic Class Graduates: Cody Berry, Evan Dunn, Justin Fairchild, Bryan Foster, Jared Harper, Josh Huddleston and Kyle Newton. ###
