July 25, 2010 - Fire Damages Local Restaurant
SFD Dispatched to Ernest Orleans on Spring Street

The Shreveport Fire Department responded to Ernest Orleans Restaurant at 1601 Spring Street at 1:05 pm for fire alarm activation. Fire crews arrived on scene four minutes later to find light smoke coming from the rear of the building. When crews enter the building they found fire in a wall behind the stove area in the kitchen. The fire was brought under control at 1:25 pm.

The business was not open at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The fire damage was contained to the kitchen area and caused moderate damage. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
