July 21, 2010 - SFD Chief Set to Unveil Groundbreaking EMS SPRINT Vehicles

New program to change landscape of EMS care and reduce costs

Shreveport Fire Chief Brian A. Crawford and Willis-Knighton Health System will hold a joint press conference to unveil a new chapter in EMS care for the citizens of Shreveport when it unveils the newly completed SPRINT (Single Paramedic Rapid Intervention Non-Transport) and road ready vehicles to officially kick off the life and dollar saving program.
The SPRINT program was first brought to public light when Willis Knighton donated $700,000 to purchase the trucks and medical equipment necessary to start the program last January. Now the vehicles and the program are ready to kick into high gear. Please join us for this important event:
