March 30, 2010 - Fire Investigators Make Arrest for Simple Arson

Suspect was arrested and charged for setting fire to a passenger van

Shreveport Fire Department Investigators arrested a 48 year old male today for simple arson, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. Kurtis Craig was arrested and charged for setting fire to a passenger van at I-220 Interstate and Hillary Huckaby Avenue on November 18, 2009. Fire crews were called out to this scene at 6:09 am and found a passenger van fully involved with fire. The fire was extinguished and fire investigators were called out due to the suspicious nature of the fire and no one being at the scene.
