Motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles

At 8:44 p.m. this evening, the Shreveport Fire Department was dispatched to motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles that collided at Broadway Avenue and Tait Street. The collision resulted in the transport of five patients. One patient was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office.

The accident required four SFD Medic Units to transport all five patients to LSU Health Sciences Center. According to fire officials, the age of the patients range from 2 years old to 55 years old, and their injuries range from stable to critical. One patient who was not wearing a seat belt was ejected and is critical condition.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.
