December 12, 2009 - SFD Responds to Early Morning House Fire

There were no reported injuries

The Shreveport Fire Department responded to 2830 Stonewall for a reported house fire at 6:14 AM. Fire crews arrived on scene four minutes later to find a single story wood frame home with fire and smoke coming from the home. Fire crews had to use forcible entry to get into the home as no one was home at the time. Once access was gained crews attacked the fire immediately and had it under control at 6:35 AM.

The fire was contained to one bedroom and a portion of the attic space. There were no reported injuries from the fire and the home received fire damage to the involved bedroom and adjacent attic and smoke damage throughout. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
