March 4, 2009 - Chief Tommy Adams to be Transported to Specialty Center

The flight is being furnished by the Christus Schumpert Critical CareUnit

Shreveport Fire Department Battalion Chief Tommy Adams, who sustained a neck and brain injury when he fell from the top of a ladder truck on February 21, 2009, will be transported tomorrow, March 5, 2009 to the Shepherd Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. The Shepherd Center specializes in the medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain and other neurological conditions. The following are departure times for Chief Adams:

Date/Time: March 5, 2009 at Approximately 7:00 AM
Where: Shreveport Downtown Airport
Arrive: Peachtree Dekalb Airport and taken to the Shepherd Clinic by ground transportation

The flight is being furnished by the Christus Schumpert Critical Care Air Transport. Chief Adams, his wife Traci, and a two person medical crew will be on board.
