January 23, 2009 - Occupant Escapes Early Morning House Fire The Shreveport Fire Department responded to 3103 Iberville Drive this morning at 1:03 AM for a reported house fire. Fire crews arrived on scene at 1:06 AM to find a single story home with flames showing from the carport of the home and heavy smoke from all openings. The fire was quickly extinguished and brought under control at 1:23 AM. The home was occupied at the time by one 51-year old female. The occupant was awakened by a neighbor and exited the home without injuries. There were 22 firefighters that responded to the fire with no firefighter injuries reported. The fire is still under investigation at this time to determine a cause. |
