Nov. 16 - Fire Department to Recognize Best Tonight

Annual Awards Banquet to feature awards for heroic actions in 2004-2005, including hurricane Katrina recognitions. . .

The Shreveport Fire Department is preparing to recognize their best and brightest tonight (Wednesday, November 16, 2005) at 7:00 p.m. during their Annual Awards Banquet held at the Convention Center along Clyde Fant Parkway.

Award scheduled to be handed out include Firefighter of the Year, Paramedic of the Year, EMT of the Year, Outstanding Member of the Year, Outstanding Officer, Citizens Award of Merit and others. New Orleans Fire Department Superintendent Charles Parent and members of his staff, in town for tomorrow night’s firefighter basic training graduation, will be in attendance. The media, as always is invited and welcome to attend. ###
