May 30, 2005 - Citizens Fire Academy Graduation Set

The Shreveport Fire Department will graduate 15 participants from their recent Citizen’s Fire Academy Tuesday, May 31 at their Fire Training Academy . . .

6440 Greenwood Road. The graduation ceremony, scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium, is the calumniation of an exciting and challenging 10 weeks, where ordinary citizens, meeting once a week for three hours, are introduced to a variety of fire and rescue techniques including CPR, basic first aid, repelling, live fire burns, and equipment operations.

The following is a list of graduates:Verna King, Sheila Watkins, Donnie McCaa, Lynn Gregory, Julie Weathersby, Mike Michaels, Kenya Cawthorne, Colette Mastromatteo, Jerado Winson, Ronald Case, Leigh Stephenson, Bill Ward, Connie Graham, Flora Jones, and Daniel Lynch

Shreveport Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran will be on hand to address the class and present diplomas of accomplishment at the ceremony. ###
