March 30 - Shreveport Fire Department EMS units take on new modern look.

New State-of-the-art units on display today . . .

The Shreveport Fire Department being deeply rooted in tradition does not take change lightly but the newest ambulances just added to their fleet are a change that not only gives a new modern look to their emergency medical service but also makes a bold statement. By changing to a new and somewhat flashy exterior design in the paint scheme as well as adding improvements to the layout of these units, the department is making a statement that reflects the mindset of the medical personnel who work on them. It shows pride in serving the citizens of Shreveport and the department’s continued diligence to stay at the forefront in the field of emergency medicine.

One of these new units was put in service just this week and is already responding to emergencies from Fire Station #10 at Line Avenue and Oneonta. You can get an up close and personal look and tour of one of the new units today. Here’s how:
