Fire Department Announces Promotions

Shreveport Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran is proud to announce the promotions of

firefighter Charles Pinkston to Training Officer; firefighter Kenneth Pharr to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Officer; and firefighter Jerry Hinton to Fire Driver.

Training Officer Pinkston will be assigned to the Department’s Training Academy where his responsibilities will include assisting in basic recruit classes, fire science and paramedic training. EMS Officer Pharr will be part of the Department’s medical quality review process and community medical education program. Fire Driver Hinton will have operations and expertise responsibility for all emergency response equipment. Hinton is assigned to Engine 17 in Southern Hills. ###
