Fire Chief Announces Promotions and Retirement

Shreveport Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran is proud to announce the promotions of District Chief R.W. Jordan to Assistant Chief; Captains D.C. Glass and David Barron to the position of District Chief; Fire Driver Michael Taylor to the position of Captain; firefighter T.R. Seets to the position of Fire Driver.

Assistant Chief Jordan will assume the responsibilities as shift commander for the department’s "C" shift. District Chiefs Glass and Barron will oversee the operations of several fire stations and emergency scenes within their to be assigned districts and shift. Captain Taylor will have supervising responsibilities as a company officer at a fire station and on emergency scenes. Fire Driver T. R. Seets will have new duties pertaining to the engineering operations of fire department apparatus.

Retiring from the department after 34 years of dedicated service is and "C" shift commander, Assistant Chief C.J. Smith. ###
