Fire Chief to be Recognized by Local Sorority of Teachers

Shreveport Fire Chief Kelvin J. Cochran will be recognized by the Local Chapter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. for his work with the organization and his administration’s dedication to education.

Tomorrow, the Sorority will recognize Chief Cochran with a plaque presentation in his office at Central Fire Station at 4:00 p.m. Earlier this month Chief Cochran was featured as the keynote speaker at the organization’s Southwestern Regional Conference held in Shreveport.

The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. is a professional organization of teachers and educators dedicated to the task of teaching the youth of America to cope satisfactorily and effectively with today’s problem. Sorority member Mary Butler will make the presentation on behalf of the organization. The presentation is open to the media. ###
