Oak Terrace sexual assault incident still under investigation

Police have interviewed the 14-year-old victim of Monday’s sexual assault at Oak Terrace school and are continuing to question people about the case.

No charges will be filed today against anyone, but detectives now believe a handful of perpetrators was actually involved in the assault. The initial investigation involved 15 or 16 suspects.

Exactly what occurred in the bathroom and what the remaining suspects’ involvement was is still under investigation.

The investigation began after police were called to Oak Terrace

around 12:10 p.m. Monday after a school liaison officer reported that a girl had been sexually assaulted in the boy’s bathroom.

Detectives will continue working on the case tomorrow, and the Shreveport Police Department will provide updated information as it becomes available.
