Sales and Use Tax Registration & Reporting
Registration
All persons who are
"Engaged in the Business" of making retail sales of
movable property, performing taxable services, leasing or renting
movable property or regularly imports (or causes to be imported)
movable property into Caddo Parish must register for sales and
use tax purposes. There is NO FEE for
registration; however, registration is NOT
optional, it is REQUIRED BY LAW. To register, contact:

Reporting
All businesses
registered for sales and use tax purposes must use the Sale
& Use Tax Report furnished by this Commission unless computer
generated reporting is approved in writing by this Commission.
Reports are mailed to registered businesses every January and
July. The ordinances require monthly reporting, however for many
small businesses this is simply not practical. A business will be
assigned a filing frequency of monthly, quarterly or occasional
at the time of registration. Specific instructions will be
furnished at that time.
