Adjudicated Property Information Adjudicated Property Defined - In general terms, adjudicated property is property on which the state or local government has obtained a tax title because property taxes have not been paid. Louisiana law allows the governmental body having jurisdiction over the property to sell the property. Authority to Sell Property Adjudicated to the City of Shreveport - Louisiana law allows the governmental body having jurisdiction over a property that has been seized for non-payment of property taxes, to sell that property. The City is authorized to only sell property that has been adjudicated since January 1, 1975. that is abandoned (vacant or not lawfully occupied), and that is considered surplus or no longer needed by the City for a public purpose. The Louisiana State Land Office manages property that was adjudicated before January 1, 1975.
