Section 5.07 of the Shreveport
City Charter provides for a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to oversee the
day to day operations of the City of Shreveport and its various departments.
Dale Sibley
currently holds the position of CAO. The CAO and his staff work
closely with the Mayor and his staff to ensure
that the Mayors goals are reflected in the daily operations of the various departments.
Along with general oversight responsibilities, this office
coordinates citizen inquiries and complaints, budget preparation and submission to
Council, along
with coordination of legislative matters being sent to Council for consideration and
action. Other key members of the staff include:
Rick Seaton - Assistant CAO
Karen Barnes - Fair Share Office
Dusty Gott - Office Manager
Shreveport implemented a Citizen Complaint Tracking System to ensure
timely and effective response to citizens concerns relating to City services.

Any complaint called into the Mayor or CAO will be quickly routed to the
appropriate department for response. The tracking system allows the CAO a method to
monitor the departments response to complaints and provides important data revealing
the needs of Shreveports residents. If you have any suggestions for improved
