Fatality victim identified

The man who died after falling from the I-49 North on ramp from Highway 3132 has been positively identified.

Ed Ahrens, 55, of Shreveport died at the scene after the motorcycle he was riding hit the side of the bridge. Ahrens was flown from the motorcycle over the guardrail.

Witnesses said the motorcycle was going in excess of 60 miles per hour when the accident occurred at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday. Crash investigators are continuing their investigation.
