Two people arrested after armed robbery

Two young adults are in the Shreveport City Jail after robbing a laundry business in the 4300 block of Linwood.

Jeomalyeous Thomas, 18, of the 7200 block of Rayne and Jacquec Brown, 17, of the 1900 block of Vivian Street are each charged with two counts of armed robbery.

The robbery occurred this morning at Laundry, Laundry, Laundry when two suspects entered the business – one armed with a handgun. After demanding and obtaining money, the suspects robbed a customer of her vehicle and fled the store. Patrol officers located the vehicle at 63rd and St. Vincent streets with both suspects inside. After a foot pursuit, both were taken into custody. Police also recovered the stolen money.

During the course of the robbery, one or both of the suspects beat up the business manager. The man was treated at the scene by paramedics. He did not have to be transported to the hospital.
