Second victim in double fatality identified

The passenger inside a car that was involved in a double fatality on Old Blanchard Road last night has been identified.

The man is Earl Ballard, 47, of Shreveport. He died at the scene. Also killed was Patrick Walker, 43, of Shreveport.

While beer cans were found at the scene, the investigation has determined that the cans may have previously been at the scene. Right now, speed appears to be the major cause. A coroner’s report will reveal whether the driver had been drinking.
