Local 2001National Night Out Competition

Shreveport’s National Night Out effort for 2001 was a tremendous success. One-hundred and seventy-seven individuals registered approximately three-hundred blocks for the event. The overall turnout was excellent.

The following locations are the 2001National Night Out winners in the 18 police districts throughout the city. Each of these locations will be receiving permanently posted signs within the next few weeks.

      District 1: 1700 block of Joe Louis Blvd

      District 2: No entries received

      District 3: 400 block of N. Dale

      District 4: No entries received

      District 5: 700 block of Dalzell

      District 6: 1700 block of Bayou Dr.

      District 7: 4700 block of Thornhill

      District 8: No entries received

      District 9: 500 block of E. 84th

      District 10: No entries received

      District 11: 6900 block of Broadway

      District 12: 3900 block of Merwin

      District 13: 3000 block of Sandra Dr.

      District 14: 6800 block of Raspberry Ln. (Treetop Apts.)

      District 15: 2600 block of Hoyte

      District 16: 1000 block of Manor Pl.

      District 17: 10100 block of Trailridge Dr.

      District 18: No entries received (Downtown business district)

The Shreveport Police Department and SPAR would like to thank all of our local media outlets for their continued support and assistance in promoting National Night Out. But most of all, we want to thank all of the neighborhoods and citizens that participated in the event. Every individual that participated is a winner and we commend you for a job well done.
